During the 8th edition of the Conference on Business Informatics (IwZ’2022), the results of scientific research in the field of analysis of digital currency exchanges based on open data, and research on the assessment of the supply and demand for information in the multilingual Wikipedia were presented.
Scientific work entitled “Analysis of the Successful and Bankrupt Digital Currency Exchanges based on Open Data” (authors: Piotr Stolarski, Włodzimierz Lewoniewski) shows the possibilities of access to various open data related to digital currency exchanges and the methods of their analysis in a selected period of time. As part of this research, digital currency exchanges (including cryptocurrency exchanges) were divided into two groups: successful and failed.
Presentation “Demand and Supply of Information in Different Language Versions of Wikipedia” (authors: Włodzimierz Lewoniewski, Krzysztof Węcel, Witold Abramowicz) concerned the analysis of information supply within various topics and language versions of Wikipedia. In addition, the results of the information quality analysis are presented depending on the language version and topic. The demand for information from users of this publicly available encyclopaedia in various time periods was also examined.
The Conference on Business Informatics 2022 is an annual meeting of scientists from Poland and invited researchers from foreign centers specializing in business informatics. The aim of the conference is to present the results of research on the use of information systems and technologies to support management in business and public organizations.
